• Place 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per cup (250ml) in an infuser or teapot and pour over boiling water (100°C).
• Infuse for 5+ minutes depending on your desired strength.
• We recommend complementing with a slice of lemon and/or honey to taste.
• Enjoy 1-4 cups daily in between meals for purifying and detoxifying.

After finishing your brew, we encourage you to return your steeped herbs back to the earth, for example in your home compost, worm farm or garden waste, allowing it to breakdown into organic matter and return to nourish our environment.

Blended with 100% Australian certified organic ingredients, our Cleansing Tea is a purifying herbal infusion traditionally used in naturopathic practice to support the body’s natural cleansing and elimination processes. The formulation combines herbs traditionally valued for their digestive, diuretic, antioxidant and cleansing properties, creating a balanced daily tea to support healthy digestion and the body’s natural detoxification pathways.

Your liver and kidneys already do the heavy lifting when it comes to clearing waste products from the body. Together, these herbs may support those normal detoxification processes through the liver, kidneys and digestive tract. This is a traditional herbal approach to supporting the body’s own elimination processes, rather than a replacement for its natural detoxification systems.

Dandelion Root: Dandelion root has a long history in herbal medicine as a bitter herb traditionally used to support digestion and appetite, as well as urinary function. The European Medicines Agency’s dandelion root monograph lists its traditional use for mild digestive disorders, temporary loss of appetite and flushing of the urinary tract. It is commonly included in cleansing formulations intended to support the liver, and a 2025 review on dandelion and liver health found that dandelion compounds such as taraxasterol protected the liver in laboratory and animal studies, although clinical trials in people are still needed.

Nettle Leaf: Nettle leaf has traditionally been used to support urinary function. It is recognised by the European Medicines Agency for increasing the amount of urine to flush the urinary tract in minor urinary complaints, as well as for the relief of minor joint pain. Its green, earthy character forms the backbone of the blend.

Ginger: Ginger brings warming, stimulating and digestive qualities to the blend. The EU herbal assessment of ginger supports its traditional use for mild, cramping digestive complaints including bloating and flatulence, and for temporary loss of appetite. It also adds a gentle spicy character to the tea.

Red Clover: Red clover contains isoflavones, plant compounds structurally similar to oestrogen. It has a long history in herbal medicine and is often included in formulations for women’s wellbeing. Human research has investigated its use for hot flushes, cholesterol and bone density in postmenopausal women, although evidence for specific health benefits remains inconclusive.

Calendula: Calendula is a traditional herbal remedy valued for its soothing and anti-inflammatory qualities. According to the European assessment of calendula flowers, it is traditionally used for minor inflammation in the mouth and throat and, applied to the skin, for minor skin inflammation and wounds. Its bright flowers bring a gentle balancing element to the formulation.

Spearmint: Spearmint contributes fresh, cooling and naturally aromatic notes to the blend. It has traditionally been used for digestive problems and flatulence, and a 2021 review of spearmint reported antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory studies. It helps balance the more earthy character of dandelion and nettle while giving the tea its refreshing finish.

Lemon Peel: Lemon peel adds bright citrus notes and a clean, uplifting aroma. It is also rich in flavonoids: in a study comparing the peel of 14 citrus fruits, lemon had the highest total flavonoid content, led by eriocitrin. Its fresh character balances the deeper herbal flavours of the roots and leaves, making Cleansing Tea light and refreshing despite its more earthy ingredients.
