Super Dust was formulated by founder and naturopath Chalimah Jeanne, drawing on the wisdom of traditional Western, Chinese, Peruvian and Ayurvedic medicine, with natural energy and focus in mind. Our raw cacao is sourced from smallholder organic farms where possible, supporting farmers and communities while maintaining the quality and flavour of the cacao.

ALLERGENS + DIETARY INFORMATION

Our products are dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, non-GMO, vegan, certified organic and plant-based. They contain no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, or sweeteners.

This product has been manufactured, packaged and stored in a facility that is free from nuts, dairy, soy, sesame seeds, sulphites and eggs.

  • Use 1–2 teaspoons per cup (250 ml), depending on how chocolatey you like it.
  • Add a small splash of freshly boiled water and stir to make a smooth paste. This helps prevent lumps in your cup.
  • Top up with your choice of hot milk. We recommend using oat milk.

Our raw cacao powders are great for baking, desserts and smoothies. Simply substitute any recipe calling for cocoa powder with the Organic Merchant cacao blends. For best storage conditions, keep the canister or refill pouch sealed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Super Dust pairs raw cacao with two naturally caffeinated plants, matcha and yerba mate, for a gentle lift. Matcha also provides L-theanine, an amino acid that has been studied alongside caffeine for its effects on attention.

Matcha

Matcha is a powdered Japanese green tea, so you consume the whole leaf rather than an infusion. A review of matcha’s health benefits and chemical composition describes it as the best condensed source of green tea catechins such as EGCG, which are valued for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. In a placebo-controlled study of 27 healthy adults, 50 mg of caffeine combined with 100 mg of L-theanine improved both speed and accuracy on a demanding attention-switching task.

Yerba Mate

Yerba mate has been enjoyed for centuries in South America as a social and medicinal drink. A comprehensive review of yerba mate describes it as a central nervous system stimulant with a high antioxidant capacity and notes that it has been suggested for weight management. In a 12-week randomised, placebo-controlled trial in adults with obesity, 3g of yerba mate per day reduced body fat mass and percent body fat compared with placebo.

Peppermint

Peppermint gives Super Dust its cool, refreshing finish and pairs naturally with both chocolate and matcha.

They are very similar, and the terms are often used interchangeably. Cacao usually refers to beans processed at lower temperatures, while cocoa is typically roasted at higher temperatures. Super Dust uses raw cacao, giving our matcha cocoa a deeper, less processed chocolate base.

More than our other Dust blends, because matcha and yerba mate both contain natural caffeine alongside the small amount found in raw cacao. The exact amount depends on how much you use per cup. If you are sensitive to caffeine, start with one teaspoon and enjoy it earlier in the day.

Yes, but subtle. Peppermint gives Super Dust a fresh, cooling finish, a bit like mint chocolate with grassy matcha notes. It is lightly, naturally sweetened with mesquite and stevia, so it tastes refreshing rather than sugary.

Absolutely. Stir 2 to 3 teaspoons of Super Dust into a splash of cold milk to make a paste, add ice, then top up with more cold milk. The mint really comes alive in a cold drink.

Super Dust suits mornings, a mid-afternoon slump or the hour before exercise, whenever you want natural energy and focus. Because of its caffeine content, we recommend avoiding it late in the evening.

Because Super Dust contains caffeine from matcha and yerba mate, we don’t recommend it for small children. For a cup with only the small amount of caffeine found in raw cacao, explore the rest of our Dust range.
