What makes rooibos tea different
Rooibos is not a tea at all. It comes from a South African shrub unrelated to the tea plant, which is why it carries no caffeine and very little tannin. That low tannin is what makes it taste rounded and naturally sweet rather than astringent, and it is also why rooibos is so forgiving to brew.
FAQ and further info about our rooibos blends ☀️
Our range includes two award-winning blends, a Rooibos Tea with Rose and the Australian Outback Chai, both curated for a unique taste experience.
Yes, they contain other, complimentary herbs and spices. Please refer to each individual product page to find a complete list of ingredients. Rooibos Tea with Rose pairs the base with rose, cinnamon and vanilla, while Australian Outback Chai uses it as the foundation for Tasmanian pepper berry and roasted wattleseed.
Yes they are. Both blends are caffeine-free and organic. None of our infusions contain any added sugar or artificial flavourings. Rooibos is a long-standing family drink in South Africa for exactly this reason.
If you want rooibos itself, softened with florals and warm spice, choose Rooibos Tea with Rose. If you want something bolder that works as a caffeine-free chai with milk, choose Australian Outback Chai, which also sits in our Australian native collection.
