Choosing cacao accessories
Raw cacao is a powder, not a syrup, and it behaves like one. Left to itself in hot milk it clumps, sits on the surface, and settles at the bottom of the cup. The accessories here exist to stop that happening. A long-handled bamboo whisk breaks up the powder and works air through the milk, which is the difference between a drink that is smooth and one that is gritty.
Heating the milk in the right vessel matters nearly as much. Our copper milk warmer conducts heat quickly and evenly, so you can bring milk up to temperature without scorching it, and pour straight from the lip. A measuring spoon is the last piece: cacao is easy to over- or under-dose by eye, and a consistent scoop makes your cup repeatable. Match any of them to a blend from our organic cacao collection.
