How to brew Spicy Chai

• Place 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per cup (250ml) in an infuser or teapot and pour over boiling water (100°C)
• Infuse for 5+ minutes depending on your desired strength
• Pour into your favourite cup and experience the moment
• We recommend complementing with milk and/or honey to taste
• Enjoy 1-4 cups daily of this this caffeine free chai in between meals to invigorate and restore.

How to make Spicy Chai on the stove top

For an extra spicy and authentic experience, Spicy Chai can be prepared on the stove top

• Place 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per cup (250ml) in a saucepan or our Copper Milk Warmer + Chai Pot and cover with water
• Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 mins
• Add milk if desired and warm through
• Strain into your favourite cup using a tea infuser or our Brass Tea Strainer
• Complement with honey to taste
• Enjoy this caffeine free chai, anytime of day, especially in between meals to support digestion

After finishing your brew, we encourage you to return your steeped herbs back to the earth, for example in your home compost, worm farm or garden waste, allowing it to breakdown into organic matter and return to nourish our environment.

Serves

Our Spicy Chai Tea Box and Jar contain 100g and serve up to 40 cups. The compostable Refill Pouch contains 200g and serves up to 80 cups.

Storage

To preserve the vitality, flavour and therapeutic actions of our teas, we recommend storing in our signature MIRON ultraviolet glass jars – or in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Storing in this manner will extend the blends aroma, vibrancy and benefits for up to 24 months.

Enjoy daily, served hot or cold. Made as an iced tea, this brew can be kept refrigerated for up to three days.

How spicy is it?

True to its name, this tea is composed primarily of spices and is a flavourful and aromatic blend. The spices contain more traditionally pungent elements, like cardamom and clove, with the warmer flavours of ginger and cinnamon, and the lightening floral and citrus of hibiscus and orange to form a lifted, energising version of chai.

As with all blends, experimenting with the amount of tea and the length of time steeped can help you find your ideal flavour.
