Lemonpeel

Lemon Peel (Citrus limonum)

Lemon is a common citrus fruit, alongside grapefruits, limes, and oranges. It was first introduced to Europe from India by the Arabians.

While the pulp and juice are used the most, the peel tends to be discarded. However, studies have determined that it is full of bioactive compounds that may provide numerous health benefits. It was first used by early physicians due to its high vitamin C content and fibre.

In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used for specific health support such as improving digestion, treating headaches with nausea, vomiting caused by the excess of bile and treating sore throats.
