This green leafy plant native to South America has been used for more than 1,500 years by the people of South America and Japan, both as a medicine and natural sweetener. Stevia contains unique compounds which possess anti-hyperglycaemic, antihypertensive, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, antidiarrhoeal, and immune-modulatory actions.

Research confirms stevia can significantly reduce fasting blood sugar levels, balance insulin resistance, aid in glucose regulation, manage weight, as well as many health problems linked to obesity, like diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Complexes in stevia have shown to significantly reduce in LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure thereby protecting heart health and preventing future conditions such as atherosclerosis, heart attacks, and strokes.
