Green Tea

Green Tea (Camellia sinensis)

Green tea is considered to have originated in China dating back to 2737 BC. Today it accounts for around a fifth of tea production worldwide, and is consumed most often in China, Korea and Japan.

Its dried leaves and leaf buds are used to make several different teas, including black and oolong teas.

Green tea is useful for depression, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), inflammatory bowel disease, and weight loss.

It also helps ease stomach disorders, vomiting, diarrhoea, headaches, and may reduce osteoporosis (bone loss).
