Caffeine Content in Jasmine Green Tea

While jasmine flowers are caffeine-free, the base of green tea contains a small amount of caffeine by its nature. The content of caffeine found per cup varies depending on how much tea is used and how long it is left to brew. In general one can estimate that a cup contains about 25mg of caffeine, which is noticeably lower than regular black tea or coffee, at 47mg or more.

Hence this blend is suitable for those looking to enjoy a refreshing boost without the jitters.

How is Jasmine Green Tea made?

Brewing Instructions

1. Use 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per cup (250ml). We recommend using an infuser or a glass teapot with infuser for the best experience.
2. Do not using boiling water (100°C), but instead wait a moment after the water boiled before pouring it over the leaves. 80°C to 85°C are ideal.
3. Infuse for 2-4 minutes, depending on your desired strength. If you let it steep shorter, you may use it for a second flush.
4. Best enjoyed straight up, without sugar or milk, for maximum appreciation of its fragrance.

After finishing your brew, we encourage you to return your steeped herbs back to the earth, for example in your home compost, worm farm or garden waste, allowing it to breakdown into organic matter and return to nourish our environment.
