This pure sencha green tea is:
- low in caffeine – naturally contains a low amount of caffeine
- certified organic, meaning you will get the purest selection available

Tasting profile: grassy + fresh + light
Serves: The Box and Jar contain 70g and serve up to 45 cups. The compostable Refill Pouch contains 140g and serves up to 90 cups.
How to brew:
- Place 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per cup (250ml) in an infuser or teapot. For this specific blend we recommend to not pour over the water, but instead lower the leaves into it. The ideal water temperature is not boiling, but 80°C to 85°C.
- Infuse for 2-4 minutes depending on your desired strength. You can do a second or even third flush with the leaves.
- Optional: complement with a slice of lemon and/or honey to taste. We recommend to enjoy it pure, straight up.
After finishing your brew, we encourage you to return your steeped herbs back to the earth, for example in your home compost, worm farm or garden waste, allowing it to breakdown into organic matter and return to nourish our environment.

What is the difference between Sencha and Matcha?
Matcha green tea is grown in the shade, while Sencha is grown in full sunlight, meaning the latter has more antioxidants. In Japanese Sencha green tea, whole leaves are ground up, including stems and veins. Sencha has a “grassy” flavour profile and is a bit more pungent than Matcha. It also has a naturally lower caffeine content than Matcha.
