- Place 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per cup (250ml) in an infuser or teapot and pour over boiling water (100°C).
- Infuse for 5+ minutes depending on your desired strength.
- Enjoy 1-4 cups daily in between meals to nourish and nurture mother and child.

After finishing your brew, we encourage you to return your steeped herbs back to the earth, for example in your home compost, worm farm or garden waste, allowing it to breakdown into organic matter and return to nourish our environment.

Our Mother Nurture Tea was designed with breastfeeding mothers in mind. The carefully selected herbs are traditionally used to maintain a healthy breast milk supply, support lactation and ease digestion for both mother and baby.
Goat’s Rue: The slightly bitter tasting plant acts as a galactagogue and hypoglycaemic. It is used to treat poor lactation and diabetes in alternative medicine.
Fennel: Naturally packed with anethole and quercetin glucosides, fennel has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and galactagogue properties. It is traditionally used to treat intestinal colic, pharyngitis and poor lactation.
Star Anise: Acts as a stimulant and is diuretic as well as carminative. The herb helps improve digestion, alleviate cramps and reduce nausea. Consuming tea containing star anise after meals helps treat digestive ailments such as bloating, gas, indigestion and constipation.
Withania (Ashwagandha): Full of alkaloids and steroidal lactones, withania has adaptogen, tonic and anti-inflammatory actions. It is traditionally used to treat nervous exhaustion, anaemia and physical weakness.
Lemon Balm: Not only useful for people suffering from insomnia, it is also used for treating anxiety, indigestion and reducing stress.

Mother Nurture Tea is formulated specifically for the breastfeeding and postnatal period, so it can be introduced after birth. If you are experiencing concerns about your milk supply, it is helpful to speak with a lactation consultant, midwife or other qualified healthcare professional alongside using a lactation tea. Yes. OM's Mother Nurture Tea is specifically formulated for breastfeeding mothers and uses herbs traditionally included in lactation blends. As herbal ingredients can vary in their effects and interactions, speak with your healthcare professional if you or your baby have a medical condition, you are taking medication or you have any concerns about using herbal products while breastfeeding.
Caffeinated teas are best to be avoided while breastfeeding. We recommend checking with your health professional before consuming any teas during breastfeeding if in doubt, and invite you to explore our entire pregnancy & nursing tea range.
It may provide supportive botanical ingredients, but a low milk supply can have many possible causes. From a naturopathic and lactation perspective, assessing feeding frequency, milk removal, positioning and attachment is more important than relying on a galactagogue alone. Professional breastfeeding support can help identify and address the underlying cause.
Mother Nurture Tea is intended to be consumed by the breastfeeding mother, not given directly to an infant. Some compounds from herbs can pass into breast milk, so if your baby is premature, unwell or particularly sensitive, or if you notice any unusual symptoms, stop using the blend and seek advice from your healthcare professional.
If you take regular medication, it is best to check with your doctor or pharmacist before using Mother Nurture Tea regularly. Goat’s rue, for example, may affect blood glucose and warrants particular caution with medicines used for diabetes.
