How to make chocolate tea?
- Use 2 teaspoons loose leaf Bountiful Tea per cup.
- Steep for a minimum of 6-10 minutes, or until desired strength is reached. Experiment with the brewing time to find what’s right for you.
TIP: It is easiest to judge your cacao husk tea’s strength by using glass tea ware.
- Depending on your personal preferences you may want to add a dash of organic milk/mylk and some natural sweetener.
This guilt-free treat tastes best when enjoyed with friends.
What are cacao husks and how are they made?
For making chocolate, cacao beans are cracked open when roasted, after being fermented and dried. The husks (outer shell) are separated from the nibs during that process. The roasted cacao husks we use in our handcrafted teas come from premium quality, single origin cacao beans.
What are chocolate teas good for besides tasting incredible?
The Bountiful Tea loose leaf blend is naturally rich in antioxidants and minerals, and has a high fibre content from the cacao husks which makes it beneficial for digestion.
Cacao empowers concentration, vitalises energy, uplifts mood, reduces inflammation, improves mental faculties, supports immune health, and may protect against chronic diseases.
Whilst this blend is caffeine free, cacao husks contain theobromine, which has a slowly released pick-me-up effect on the body.
Our loose leaf chocolate tea is dairy and sugar free, has no gluten and is vegan friendly.
