Festive Summer Sangria Recipe

Celebrate the festive season with this delicious and refreshing Summer Sangria using our Mulled Spice Tea. This festive spritzer is perfect for summer picnics, holiday parties, and everything in between!

Prep Time – 15 minutes       Cook Time – 10 minutes       Servings – approx. 8


1/3 cup              Organic Merchant Mulled Spice Tea

2 cup                 Water

1/2 cup              Honey (optional)

750mL               Organic Shiraz or similar – chilled

750mL               Soda Water – chilled

1/4 cup              Brandy, Cointreau or triple sec (optional)

Selection           Fresh fruit such as oranges, apples, lemons, and raspberries

  • Add the Mulled Spice, water, honey and the zest from one orange into a saucepan.
  • Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
  • Strain and cool.
  • Combine mulled spice syrup with chilled wine and soda water in a large jug.
  • Stir in selected fruit medley along with ice.
  • Then garnish with a sprig of rosemary and slice of lime and enjoy!

*For extra spice, substitute soda water with ginger beer
**You can make a big batch ahead of time by doubling or tripling the recipe and storing in the fridge for up to 4 days. The flavours get even better the longer it sits.
